This harlequin design results from some clowning* around with creating our own repeat patterns. The colours in this harlequin pattern are derived from a photo we took of daisies we picked locally.

* The harlequin pattern originates from clownish characters in 16th century Italian theatre: Commedia dell'arte. The characters were identified by their colourful chequered costumes.
